View Full Version : ADVC110 - Status Light Not Coming On?

We purchased an ADVC110 months ago and pluged it in today to take some VHS tapes into our editing system. The device powers up properly from the computer and appears to be recognized.
The status light however remains dark.
Digital & analog are both functioning.
Can anyone help me out? I need to get this thing functioning today.
Is there a good troubleshooting link? An online PDF of the manual?

Are you powering your ADVC110 with FireWire or with the power adaptor option?

I could not find the manual on canopus.com....
I'm using the ADVC110 with Firewire 6-pin as power.
The 'status' light does not light up when there's a signal going to the device. Both the Digital in & Analog in lihts are on. We have hanged nothing in the swithces on the bottom of the device either.

Hello, it seems we are experiencing the same problem today, and unfortunately I don't have any solution yet…
So, I have the Analog and Digital IN lights on and the status one briefly on red when I plug the 6 pin cable, and then nothing… But my computer does not seem to recognize the ADVC, I can not route my video through it… and there is no help about troubleshooting in the manual…
I'm looking for some help too !
And of course, it was working very well last time I worked with it, and I did not change anything on my computer

Guys, since this could be a number of things (including bad hardware), I highly recommend contacting support directly by phone. They'll be able to arrange for an RMA if one is necessary, and they'll also be able to go back-and-forth troubleshooting with you far faster than waiting for replies on the forum.

Quick response from the support today : RMA… And my dealer : RMA…
