Product:
EDIUS

Feature:
Return v3.x trimming functionality

Description:
Although I got used to the way a slip trim is performed in the timeline of EDIUS 4.24 I still find the solution very fiddly (too many clicks are necessary and if you work fast it sometimes doesn't slip trim correctly and fine corrections are necessary): Therefore I wish there was the option to switch back to the SLIP trim method that has been used in Edius 3.x

Please bring back trim modes of Edius 3 (editing directly in the timeline using shortcuts):

- Ripple Move (Shift + Alt + Drag)
- Ripple Trim (Alt + Trim)
- Clip Copy (Ctrl + Drag)
- Split Edit (Shift + Trim)
- Ripple Split Trim (Shift + Alt + Trim)
- Slip Edit (Alt + Drag)
- Slide Edit (Ctrl + Alt + Trim)
- Rolling Edit (Ctrl + Alt + Drag)
- Split Slide Edit (Shift + Ctrl + Alt + Trim)

In many situations these shortcuts are much faster and easier than the new Edius 4 trim mode (F6).

Thanks.
Ben

Edius 4.26

The new yellow green tag system at the end of clips to deselect the one you don't want to stretch is too messy and takes far too long when trying to extend last clip vision over the beginning of next clip sound. Especially when every edit needs adjusting on dialogue

The older method in 3.6 was quicker

Some more thought needed here.

How about incoporating BOTH the old and the new?

After all, there are some aspects of the new TRIM method that are excellent - It really does have it's uses.

It'd be nice to have some 'backward compatibility' with the shortcuts...
(it wasn't broken in the first place!)

thanks for an otherwise great system
