Hello,

I've an ADVC1394, but nowadays some motherboards comes with one or two IEEE1394 on it. In my case I've one IEEE1394a. My question is. When I aquire video to edit on my PC, I have the same performance using the canopus ADVC1394 or the onboard IEEE1394 ?
If yes, I don't need to use the ADVC1394 anymore. Only to aquire analog video, an I right ?

Kind regards

That's correct - the only purpose of the ADVC1394 in your case, would be for analog capture.

Beyond that, there's no other differences between the board's FireWire port, and the ones on the motherboard.
