Product:
EDIUS

Feature:
On undo, move cursor position to position of undone action

Description:
Like in Rex/Storm Edit, when clicking undo the timeline cursor should jump to that position so that you know what has been undone. At the moment one is expected to remember the previous x number of actions done.

I find this feature very risky not to be in place as the editor can very easily undo actions without knowing they're undone.

Moderator Notes [BH]:
This one could be quite tricky, as many operations do not have positions associated with them.

I have had situations where I have clicked undo a couple of times and have no idea whats been undone and at what stage of the undoes I am at. I have to then click redo just to make sure I follow the undos carefully.

This one could be quite tricky, as many operations do not have positions associated with them.

The common approach is to restore the position which was active while performing the undone action (see MS Word).
