Pre-Sales Support: ADVC-110 AC Adapter Kit

Hi,

I currently have an ADVC-100 and it appears to have failed (doesn't
capture sound anymore).

Is my existing ADVC-100 AC adapter compatible with the newer ADVC-110?
I don't have a 6-pin FireWire interface on my PC and will need an AC adapter
for ADVC-110 and am hoping I can use my existing ADVC-100 AC adapter.

Depending on the nature of the problem, paid repair may be an option as well. Unfortunately I don't remember enough to answer you question on the PSU.

On the left is the PSU from my own ADVC100, on the right is the PSU sold separately for the ADVC55 and ADVC110.

I've just tried it myself and the PSU's can be exchanged perfectly.

While it should indeed work ok, you might run into some troubled waters later in life, if the ADVC110 experiences a thumping from the power supply, and investigation reveals that a non-authorised PSU (ie. not the actual purchaseable ADVC110 PSU) was used with the unit, while still under warranty.

I figure it's best to forewarn you.
