ADVC audio cassette recording

From a beginner....
Just bought the 110 for my PC and can record video fine but not audio cassette. Instructions seem straightforward - have checked dip switch setting, status light on when start and audio is being transmitted. Dummy video plug also in (not needed i think)

However, Nero Soundtrax will not recognise a signal. Very grateful for any suggestions!

Make sure your audio cassette player is outputting a line level signal, and not a headphone signal.

Also make sure Nero has sent a DV Play command so timecode starts rolling.
