Speed down editing & Halting System for a while

I have problem while editing , Edius pauses for a while and system halts for about 2 minutes or more ,loading projects takes so time . I can't Undo anything , because I have to wait for 5 minutes until finishing undo . Reinstalling , doesn't solve it , what can I do ?

turn off autosave in application settings and see if this solves anything

by default, autosave kicks in every 3 min, and depending on project complexity and computer horsepower, this could cause the delay

The waiting for undo rings the VST alarm bells.
Are you using Sound soap in the project or any other vst plugin?

If project is powerfully loaded different footajes and plugins that so and will.If you use Vitascene in project that and from this too can be a brake

Also, Are yiou editing over a network? In other words... are the clips and your project file on a different computer then the one you are editing on?
