Mac to ADVC110

I am trying to copy an old VHS tape to my mac. It plays well from my Video player on my TV. When I connect the video to the ADVC110 I don't see any picture - i just get a blue screen.

Could someone help me with this please?

Is recording through a scart cable different from through a composite? Should they alway perform equally?

Scart can include RGBHV, S-Video and Composite in a single cable...so if your equipment supports "Component" then use Scart...
