ADVC 110 no colour / no audio

Hi!

I am trying to capture some vhs videos with the 110.

Unfortunately I have problems with that - i dont get colours and i dont get audio in iMovie or out of the canopus.

Whats working:

- S-Video out from the VCR/DVD combo (Philips DVDR 3510V) to a Dell 2408. Sound is coming separate from the audio out. Colours are there.

Whats not working (or only partly):
- S-Video out from the VCR/DVD (same as above) into the 110 and out s-video out of the 110 into the Dell 2408 (result: Black&White picture)
- Scart2Composite Adapter out from the VCR/DVD and the same way into the Dell (only b/w picture)
- Composite video out from the VCR/DVD and the same way into the Dell
- the 3 variants above, but via Firewire into a Macbook Pro (FW 400) in iMovie result in B/W and no audio as well.

I tried all possible combinations of NTSC/PAL settings on the canopus/iMovie. So what could be the solution?
Its strange, because i can see, that the VCR is sending the right signal, when connected via S-video directly to the monitor, but its not working, when the canopus is between.

Any ideas?
