Default Audio chanel in Edius

Hello everybody,
Is there any way in Edius v.5.0 to make a DVD file so that we can either listen to this audio chanel or the other, like Karaoke for instance? It must be sure to have 2 separately audio chanels, but when I export to mpeg file, audio files were merged as one, can not mute the left or the right sound chanel.

Core 2 dual 2.4Gh, 4 GB ram DDR2 800, Asus EAH graphic card, Vista 64 Ultimate.

Not sure if this is possible in Edius, I always use 3rd party apps to author a DVD.
You might want to try the 5.1 or 7.1 projects and export as multichannel audio, do make sure the audio mapping is set correctly otherwise only audio track 1 & 2 are being used while the rest features no audio, do a forum search, it has been discussed.

If you use a 3rd party app, just export from the Edius timeline your Mpeg2 stereo file and render out separate wave or AC3 audio channels for the additional audio requirements.
When authoring your DVD you can add the audio channels in any order you want them to appear.

Hi brother, do you mean to set the 5.1 or 7.1 EDIUS PROJECT? I found only 4 audio chanels in "Audio chanel map" and I tick all but the result didn't satisfy me. I mean that I have an clip with original video and audio synched, I put another audio file (MP3 music file) into the audio track, what I want is I can listen to the original audio and/or mute it to listen to the other audio track and inversely ( music file put in the timeline when editting) when watch the video disc. And what is the DVD authoring application you said in your post? I have Ulead DVD Movie Factory version 6, I didn't find any option for multi audio chanel in it. Neither in Edius timeline, only AC-3 format has 2 chanels but the exported file with audio merged, I can not mute this chanel to listen to the other and inversely.
Your suggestions will be very appreciated.

Not sure how to help you on this as I use DVD workshop 2 to make multi channel audio for dvd's.

Normally I have my 2 track audio from Edius exported as AC3, than in various apps like smartsound I make a music track, for complex work I involve cubase and create all seperate AC3 audio files which I then author in DVDWS2.

I have read on previous threads that Edius is capable of doing of multiple audio tracks on output, if I'm not wrong up until 8 tracks (4 stereo pairs)

As I am not too happy with the audio side of Edius I use 3rd party apps to accomplish what I need, therefore never had the urge to check out Edius capabilities.

Maybe others can show you the Edius way.

Ps you are not using the free movie factory 7 that came with Edius 5 ?

Yes, I usually have at least 2 audio tracks on timeline (one is the original with video synched), the other is the music track. I found no problem with Edius sound. I also saw 4 pairs of stereo audio chanel in Edius but in the "Help" menu it doesn't mention anything about how to use or export to multi chanels audio.

I have MVFactory 7 but wonder if it can add more audio track before output to DVD disc? MVF 7 has been Corel. Also have DVDworkshop but let I try and talk to you soon. Well, anyway thanks a lot for your reply.
