setting up ADVC 300

At the moment I’m just passing video straight in and out …converting SVHS tapes.
Working OK .. but is it optimal ?

I have the settings Sw1 All off except 6 which is On (PAL)
SW2 all Off
Not adjusted any levels via pic control (or push button)
Should I be more hands on in adjusting the ADC30 .. or just leave it alone. ?

Try fiddling with Picture Controller with the preview window open to see if it has a useful effect. But I find the default settings appropriate for 99% of cases.
