Default Importing stills as a clip

Hi there,

Have done a search on the forum but couldn't find the info I need.......

I am trying to import a series of stills as a single clip, I have gone to add file, clicked on the first image of the sequence and ticked the 'sequence clip box'

As far as I'm aware, this should import all the following files (as long as they're named sequentially) but it just seems to be importing the first 30 files (out of 150 files) I wondered if there was a limit on the number of files able to be converted into a sequence at a time, so I tried selecting number 31, hoping that would create a sequence for the next 30 files, but it only converted around 6 files.

Any ideas on why this is happening?

Thanks
Lisa

Do the still match? Are the the same size (pixel dimension) and extension?

Thanks for replying,

They're all the same dimensions and file extension (.jpg) some vary slightly in size (only by 0.01 mb) they are named like this:

DSC_0036
DSC_0037
etc.

Just copied thm into a different folder and renamed like
Clock(1)
Clock(2)
etc.

and that won't import at all into edius, not even the 1st 30....

Hey,

Have figured it out!! I deleted a few images further down the sequence after 30, so the numbers skipped one,
like

DSC_0034
DSC_0036

I guess it mustn't have liked it! In other programmes it doesn't seem to matter...........

Thanks for your replies,
cheers
Lisa

Hmm I just made a copies of a jpg and it worked. I will check what the naming convention requires I will get back to you on this.

can you tell me how the count goes in the names? Did you really use brackets?

It will stop the sequence wherever there is a break in the naming sequence.
