File Format For Web?

My son-in-law is re-doing my web site, I have a 6 minute highlight video, currently a HQ avi 16x9 shot in HDV. I only have procoder express, is their a format which will have hi quality and accepted in a flash program. or should I invest in another app...please help. Gary
