Just VIEWING ADVC-300 input?

I have a substantial video stack connected to my workstation via an ADVC-300. I'd like to get rid of the obsolete CRT television I use to view and preview material from the stack, but I can't find a simple answer to the following:

Is there some simple way to view the AV content coming through the FireWire connection, without starting up something as complex as Premiere or even Windows Capture? Something that will stream the DV material to something like Media Player?

It seems like there must be a simple bit of software out there that does this, but d*mn if I can find it! I'm running Vista 64.
